A Business club for KidsRights
Entrepreneurs involved with KidsRights
Entrepreneurs and companies often receive requests from charities for financial support. Support is given regularly, but often the question arises: Now what? What is my real involvement with this donation? New requests for support are eventually ignored when answers to these questions are not provided.
Why KidsRights?
After becoming acquainted with KidsRights, we, as Business4Good, decided to support this compact and open organization where possible with advice, guidance and financial support. Thus, Business4Good was formed. Business4Good is not a business club for golf, football or tennis. We come together with to form a powerful network to change the position of children in intolerable circumstances. Business4Good has chosen to support KidsRights because:
-
Despite limited resources, KidsRights has proven to have a clear impact on improving the circumstances of children: both through advocacy and through aid projects;
-
KidsRights guarantees that 100% of the received donations is invested in sustainable development. No one-hit wonders, but continued involvement;
-
KidsRights ensures full transparency in terms of operations and impact;
-
Business4Good is considered a partner of KidsRights, whereby evaluation of development and status are performed regularly with KidsRights, and can also be made possible through project visits.
Meetings
Business4Good is an informal gathering of entrepreneurs. The Board, consisting of five members, coordinates meetings 3-4 times a year. The gatherings take place in Van der Valk Hotel Arnhem and compelling speakers are invited to contribute. Members are also informed about the current status of projects and the KidsRights organisation. At the meetings KidsRights can ask for advice, action or other support. This has led to concrete results. In addition, developments and ideas from members of Business4Good have sparked inspiring discussions and results.
Activities
At least once a year, Business4Good holds a fundraising event. So far, three golf tournaments have been organised. The proceeds of these events have benefited specific projects to improve the position of children. Business4Good also provides an important contribution to the success of the annual KidsRights charity gala in Nijmegen by exciting its members and their networks to participate in the event.
A helping hand
We cherish the saying "a man who saves one person, saves the world". We can certainly do something for our fellow man. The mega-issues communicated through the media make many weary. Yet virtually everyone who is capable wants to lend a hand, but many wonder how. Visit our meetings and find out what your contribution can be.
