Three weeks after the KidsRights MDGs Conference in Johannesburg we are very happy to inform you that the Conference was a great success. During the day speakers highlighted the importance of achieving the Millennium Development Goals for children in the areas of poverty, health and education. Both participants and speakers were very enthusiastic and otherwise positive about the whole day and the outcome; the Johannesburg Call to Action.

The Johannesburg Call to Action urges world leaders to take immediate actions to reach the MDGs, especially those that effect children. We would like to put the Call to Action into action by offering it to the UN for the UN MDG Summit in September. To increase the document's importance we ask all important organizations in the field to undersign and therewith endorse the Johannesburg Call to Action. Several have already agreed to endorse it.
