Zarina's Story

Zarina lives in Azerbaijan. She was brought to an SOS Children’s Village at the age of two, because her mother couldn’t take care of her any more. She enjoyed a happy childhood in the village, spending a good deal of time on her hobby, gymnastics. Zarina is a strong girl, determined to follow her dreams. Fully committed to her sport, she has won championship awards at local and international level. She travels long distances to attend training, even in the depth of winter. In the future, Zarina wants to become a professional gymnastics teacher and to represent her country in the world championships. She is an inspiring example of daring to dream big and never giving up.
