Tanvir Mahmud

?"I solemnly promise that if this award gives me a global platform, I will establish my organization, 'Manobatar Alo', in every country across the world. I pledge to always fight for justice and walk the path of truth. As long as there is

Tanvir Mahmud (13), from Bangladesh, story stands out through Manobatar Alo (“The Light of Humanity”), a safe shelter they built for 24 vulnerable children. What began with skepticism from the community turned into strong support once people saw the shelter’s impact firsthand—today, four family members and a growing group of community supporters stand behind the mission.

Through Manobatar Alo, this advocate has done far more than provide shelter. They run motivational sessions teaching children about their right to dream big—whether that means becoming a doctor, engineer, or anything else. They’ve also worked to convince parents and community members to move beyond narrow educational paths and support holistic learning instead. Beyond their local community, they’ve spoken out about children’s safety in war-torn regions, and authored a book documenting children’s struggles to raise global awareness.

The results are real: 24 children now have a safe, permanent home and access to schooling that bridges religious and mainstream education. Parents’ mindsets have shifted to support their children’s dreams, and local kids have been empowered to speak up for their own rights and futures.
