State of Youth, a KidsRights initiative, is the first non-political, non-religious digital “youth state” that transcends borders to unite young people worldwide. We are a global grassroots movement created for youth, by youth (between 12–29 years old). Interested in joining the movement?
State of Youth: Our 2025 Impact Report
What can young people achieve when their voices are trusted to lead?
2025 was a year of growth, stronger youth leadership and new ways to connect and support State of Youth Chapters around the world. We launched our Movement Platform and website, welcomed a new Youth Board and piloted our first Country Representatives program. Across the movement, Chapters expanded their reach, built new partnerships and turned more ideas into action.
In 2025, more than 7,000 Chapter members were active across 154 Chapters in 29 countries.
2025 State of Youth Impact Report
Together, they organised nearly 4,500 activities, reaching almost 90,000 children, young people and adults worldwide. These numbers tell only part of the story. Behind every activity is a young person seeing what could be better and taking action.
Young people leading the movement
In 2025, seven young changemakers from Indonesia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Kenya, the USA, Bangladesh and India joined our Youth Board. They now help shape the direction of State of Youth and support Chapter Leaders around the world.
We also launched our Country Representatives pilot in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Kenya, Nigeria and the Philippines. The program helped create more than 50 new Chapters and supported over 160 Chapters in activating their profiles, bringing State of Youth even closer to communities on the ground.

Across the movement, 2025 showed the power of giving young people more than a seat at the table. When their voices are trusted, they lead, organise and create change.
Being part of State of Youth provided a space where youth voices were genuinely valued, not just consulted, but trusted to lead and take action.
