Evan Xin

“Education is the pillar for liberty and justice. Without it, we invite oppression and authoritarianism.”

Evan Xin (17), from the United States, lives with a chronic illness that has stayed with him his whole life. While he can’t control his illness, he found something he could hold onto: education. Learning helped Evan discover who he is, build his character, and open doors he never expected.

Wanting other children to have that same chance, Evan founded the nonprofit One World One Family Act, working to improve access to quality education for children around the world. He leads an international tutoring program, mentoring rural children in China and Taiwan directly. His nonprofit also partners with Redeem Africa Youth Ministries, supporting outreach and the construction of computer labs so more children can access technology and learning.

Through digital campaigns, workshops, and hands-on mentorship, Evan’s initiatives have directly impacted students across different countries, giving them the same educational opportunities that changed his own life. By turning his personal challenge into purpose, Evan is helping build a world where every child, no matter where they live, can access the education that opens doors.
