Morison Bockarie
Children are not just the leaders of tomorrow; we are the change makers of today, and our voices must be the blueprint for a safe, just, and sustainable world

Morison Bockarie (17) is from rural Sierra Leone. Morison faced persistent bullying — including from his mom’s aunty, who moved him from his village to the city at age 11 in the name of a better education. Instead of the opportunities he was promised, he found harsh realities and broken promises. That experience of being silenced and let down shaped his deep empathy for vulnerable children.
As National Vice President of the Children’s Forum Network, Morison has helped reshape how child rights are treated in Sierra Leone — from grassroots communities all the way to national policy. He served as the lead child representative in the national signing of the commitment pledge for the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, helping turn what was once treated as a private family matter into an enforceable legal priority.
Through his organization, active across 16 political districts, Morison leads workshops, campaigns, and awareness activities that reach communities and schools nationwide.
With his parents providing steady emotional support and ChildFund International offering mentorship and platforms, Morison has turned his own painful past into a mission that protects other children from the same silence.
