• Organization: Without Borders (Youth Led)
  • Project: Ideator
  • Country: Sri Lanka
  • Objective: With the Ideater Project, Without Borders gives children the opportunity to develop skills and get hands-on experience in project management and leadership with focus on environmental sustainability. This way they want to inspire children to become real changemakers.

Without Borders will give a 3-day workshop to teenagers about leadership, design thinking and advocacy skills. During this workshop, the teenagers have to come up with a project in the field of environmental sustainability for their community. For every workshop, the winning ‘pitch’ wins a mini-fund to carry out the idea. The selected project receives coaching sessions and extraordinary changemakers join the team as Ideator ambassadors. The 3-day workshop is held in three different provinces for 40 young people. This will result in nine projects that all receive a sum of around 220 euros and the guidance of a mentor that is assigned to them.

Our project partner Without Borders

Without Borders started with a small group of volunteers in 2014 and their main objectove was to teach English to children and adults. Today, Without Borders has grown drastically and they got to hire some of their old students as trainers. They have expanded their range of classes and they now also give workshops focused on the environment.
