Certified and audited

CBF accreditation

KidsRights is a CBF-accredited charity. The CBF oversees charities in the Netherlands and evaluates organizations based on criteria such as governance, transparency, impact, fundraising, and financial management.

With a Category D accreditation—the highest category in the CBF accreditation system—KidsRights meets the strictest quality standards. This ensures that we manage our resources carefully, provide transparent accountability, and undergo independent audits.

ECOSOC and the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates

KidsRights brings children’s voices to places where decisions are made. That is why KidsRights has consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). This recognition confirms our role as a reliable partner that makes children’s rights visible on the world stage.

The collaboration with the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates also shows how far the voice of young changemakers reaches. In 2005, at the World Summit in Rome, under the leadership of Mikhail Gorbachev, Nobel Peace Laureates embraced the International Children’s Peace Prize for the first time. Since then, KidsRights has been an official partner of the Nobel Peace Laureates, and each year a Nobel Peace Laureate presents the prize to a young changemaker who is moving the world.

Integrity Policy

The integrity policy outlines the standards and values that guide our actions, both within the organization and in our collaboration with partners, young people, volunteers, and other stakeholders. The policy consolidates existing agreements, such as the code of conduct and the whistleblower policy, into a single clear framework for acting with integrity and due diligence.

It also explains how to file a report if you wish to report a potential breach of integrity.

Reporting Points

Child Protection Policy

Children and young people must be able to participate safely in all KidsRights activities. That is why we have a strict child protection policy: the Child Protection Policy.

This guideline applies to staff members, board members, interns, volunteers, and all other individuals who work on behalf of KidsRights and come into contact with children and young people. Everyone who represents KidsRights signs our Code of Conduct, thereby acknowledging that they are familiar with the principles of the Child Protection Policy and agree to comply with them.
