The International Children’s Peace Prize is awarded annually to an exceptional child, whose courageous or otherwise remarkable actions have made a difference in improving children’s rights anywhere in the world Since 2006, ABN AMRO has made this prize possible. Thanks to the support of ABN AMRO, these special children get the recognition they deserve and a platform to express their ideas and personal involvement in children’s rights. The prize is presented every year by a Nobel Peace Laureate.
ABN AMRO recently decided to continue their support to KidsRights in the coming years, to improve children’s rights. On Wednesday June 14, Kees Van Dijkhuizen, CEO at ABN AMRO, announced the prolonged partnership at a festive dinner in De Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam, where the International Children’s Peace Prize exhibition is on show together with World Press Photo.
“We have been a proud partner of KidsRights and the International Children’s Peace Prize for more than ten years. FOr us it is one of the ways to show that we deeply value human rights. We are very pleased that we are continuing this relationship.” says Kees van Dijkhuizen, CEO ABN AMRO.
