The East Asia Regional Council of Schools is an organization of 200 member schools in East Asia. Among these can be found the school that Rena Kawasaki, winner of the International Children Peace Prize 2022, attended since kindergarten. The ET Journal is a triannual publication of the EARCOS which, in honor of Rena’s activism and win of the ICPP 2022, published the winter issue of this year presenting her story as lead article. The article was written by Jennifer Henbest de Calvillo, the educator that also nominated Rena for the prize. In her article, Jennifer recaps Rena’s activism from the start of the Earth Guardians Japan organization with her friend, until the new possibilities that winning the ICPP brought her.
