Jacqueline Vengesai
I hope my brother grows up knowing that his sister did everything she could to make sure children like him don't have to face the struggles he went through.

Jacqueline Vengesai (18), from Zimbabwe, was inspired to advocate for children with disabilities through her experience with her brother, who has cerebral palsy. Her family struggled to access an accurate diagnosis because of limited medical resources and a shortage of trained specialists. They also faced discrimination within the education system.
Jacqueline founded a non-profit initiative supporting children with disabilities and children from underprivileged communities. She helps families access medical support, organizes donations of food and clothing, and raises awareness about disability inclusion.
She also wrote a children’s book that introduces young readers to disability, empathy and inclusion. The book is distributed in schools across Zimbabwe, helping children start conversations about understanding and respecting people with disabilities.
Since 2024, Jacqueline has organized an annual Christmas party for children with disabilities and children from underprivileged backgrounds in orphanages. More than 300 children have been reached so far.
