Mujahid Ibrahim Bin Sadeque

Let's talk about science in our mother tongue

Mujahid Ibrahim Bin Sadeque (18), is from Bangladesh. Since junior high, Mujahid has been obsessed with testing scientific concepts hands-on — but his school’s science club had no facilities for it, and Bangla-language science content was hard to find. So he decided to build the resource he wished he’d had.

Mujahid founded Science Experiment Bangla, a platform where students discuss current science topics in their mother tongue, Bangla, bringing young people from different backgrounds into science content creation. He made a point of prioritizing members from underprivileged areas outside Dhaka, and introduced a “Shoot at Home” content system to make it easier for girls to participate in making science videos.

He also opened up a Facebook group as a question forum, letting anyone join in, write, and create content — encouraging countless children to start discussing science in their own language.

With his parents’ support and friends pitching in, Mujahid has helped build a space where science feels accessible, no matter where a student comes from or what language they speak best.
