Onald Gwiriri

STOP BULLYING

Onald (15), from Zimbabwe, was once a victim of bullying himself, back in kindergarten. Rather than let that experience define him quietly, he turned it into a mission — publishing 11 children’s books on anti-bullying and environmental protection, becoming the youngest person ever to win a National Arts Merit Award in Zimbabwe.

Onald campaigns against bullying and drug abuse, speaking at national events to share his message and encourage other children to write their own books about the challenges they face. He also advocates for teaching through folklore, connecting traditional storytelling with modern lessons kids need today.

His work has reached far beyond his own community — Onald has been featured on national television and social media, and has attended numerous nationally televised events.

From surviving bullying to becoming a published author and national award winner, Onald shows how turning pain into purpose can inspire an entire generation of young writers and advocates.
