Akshat Singhania, a 16-year-old from India, has made remarkable strides in improving access for visually impaired youth through his innovative work. Driven by his socially committed background, Akshat developed VisionSense, a revolutionary smart assistive glasses that are 17 times less expensive than existing models. After extensive research and development, he conducted training sessions at blind schools to help students use the glasses effectively.
His initiative attracted support from the Adani Group, leading to a significant donation that enabled him to provide 100 VisionSense glasses to a blind school. Akshat’s dedication also earned him recognition in the Smart India Hackathon, further advancing his mission to enhance the lives of visually impaired individuals.
