Aleida was bullied by her classmates and teachers, after which she was homeschooled. Her ballet classes helped her to go through the difficult time. She then realized that art helps to heal. Since then, Aleida travels through the country teaching dancing and she writes stories. She teaches movements, coordination, stretching and breathing techniques to children with cancer. She teaches the Ballet and Body Expression workshops and Physical Conditioning to women in reintegration center. She also addresses women in seclusion and their children. Aleida wrote the collection of 7 ARCOIRIS Stories with a gender perspective. She also raised funds for children orphaned due to feminicide. Currently, Aleida creates and leads the campaign ‘For a Period Worthy for Women Deprived of their Freedom’, which promotes the use of women’s cups, an ecological and sustainable alternative. Aleida has given multiple classes and talks, both on- and offline.
