All 2022 Children’s Peace Prize Nominees

Alejandra has been defencing children’s rights since she was 12 years old. She has used her voice to advocate for children’s rights in many forums. Alejandra was a representative of Guatemala at the Regional Meeting of Children and Adolescents in Uruguay, El Salvador and Mexico. She has spoken regularly about youth participation, leadership and youth empowerment. The publications of her speeches on social media have gathered more than 2.000 reactions and views. Through her voice, the voices of Guatemalan children have been heard in the international field. Alejandra has created space in Guatemala for the voice of young people to be heard. In the future, she hopes to create her own human rights school, where she will give training to vulnerable children in Guatemala.
