Nominated By AID FOR AIDS Panamá

All 2021 Children’s Peace Prize Nominees

Angel was born with HIV. Despite experiencing the stigma and discrimination around HIV, he was able to understand his health situation and adapt to it. He has led public speaking workshops and helped his colleagues in the AID FOR AIDS organization through their own experiences, encouraging them to maintain their adherence to treatment and motivating them to participate in all workshops and activities. Currently, he is training as a multiplier agent in the organization, because he wants everyone to know that an individual with HIV has the same opportunities and deserves the same conditions as an individual without HIV. Angel wants to provide correct information regarding HIV to the communities, helping to eradicate stigma and discrimination in addition to promoting a healthy lifestyle.
