Anika, a 17-year-old from India, is transforming support for abused women and children. Inspired by the hardships faced by a close friend and her own exposure to systemic injustice, Anika has dedicated herself to advocacy, research, and hands-on intervention. She interned at the Ministry of Women and Child Development, authored reports to improve childcare institutions, trained abused children, and led workshops on legal literacy and gender sensitivity. She co-founded Serenity, an AI chatbot supporting mentally and sexually exploited teenagers, reaching over 7,000 youth in 13 countries.
Through initiatives like adopting 10 Anganwadis, distributing legal guides, and raising funds for cervical cancer treatment and vaccination, Anika has impacted over 10,000 lives. Her offline and online work spans legal reform, grassroots education, healthcare, and child protection. Supported by mentors, family, and NGOs, Anika channels her compassion and determination into systemic change, ensuring that vulnerable women and children are empowered, protected, and heard.
