Apwiyamwene has represented fellow children at various events. Her motivation stems from seeing children that she mentored prospering. Apwiyamwene prepared the National Action on fighting violence against women and children, which resulted in the formation of district and ward committees which advocate against women and children violence. She has been involved in producing several TV and radio programmes which protect the rights of children. She is among the children who have been empowered through Junior Council and that participated in the celebration of children’s events at the Day of the African Child and the International Day of the Girl Child. She held the position of Deputy Chairperson of Junior Council in the Republic of Tanzania for the last two years. In 2016 she managed to meet with the parliament of Tanzania and present the issue of allocation of the budget to junior council. Thanks to her actions, early pregnancy rates among girls have reduced.
