Awaista Anwar, a 14-year-old from Pakistan, has made significant strides in education despite the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Alongside her siblings, Awaista launched a YouTube channel in June 2020 to provide free online classes covering the entire Balochistan curriculum. Her initiative, aimed at bridging educational gaps during the pandemic, has reached approximately 90% of high school principals through WhatsApp and garnered over 5,000 subscribers. Her channel offers comprehensive lessons in subjects like English, mathematics, Urdu, and Arabic, directly benefiting 30 local children through free tutoring sessions, which have improved their academic performance and confidence.
