Aynura Erejepbaeva, a 17-year-old activist from Uzbekistan, has made significant strides in environmental, cultural, and feminist advocacy. Despite her young age, Aynura has worked extensively to address climate change and the Aral Sea crisis, advocate for women’s education, and protect Karakalpak culture from globalization. Her local initiative, LadyUp School, emerged from her participation in the TechGirls program and provides STEM, programming, and leadership education to her peers. She has taught over 60 girls in computer science and leadership, receiving support from various international organizations.
