David has autism and gives visibility to autism through participation and promotion of child welfare, especially of the most vulnerable groups. Since a very young age, he has been active in the social field. Already at 10 years-old, he was appointed Councilor de la Infància of the City Council of Gandia. He was also selected by the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030 to be part of the State Council for the Participation of Children and Adolescents (CEPIA) along with 34 other children and adolescents. His position allows him to decide on the State’s strategy on children and propose improvements to the children’s system in terms of the visibility and accessibility of Autism. With his position, David’s aims to present improvements that will be turned into actions that favor inclusion and accessibility for citizens with autism spectrum syndrome. Besides, he is continuously in contact with the associations of parents of the schools, as well as management teams, with the aim of being able to adapt classrooms to the needs of autistic children in all cycles of education. David also has his own Youtube channel and a Facebook group in which he published materials adapted to the needs of this group, such as development of daily tasks at home, favoring autonomy and personal development, resources of the subjects of the school year, and materials for cooking.
