Dola, as Secretary of the National Child Forum (a child– led initiative), has played a pivotal role in stopping child marriages and raising awareness on this issue. She and her fellow members have stopped around 600 child marriages between 2018 and 2020. Dola organises awareness-raising activities on children’s rights and protection using child-friendly methodologies such as drama, songs, and plays. She has also organises dialogue meetings with journalists to discuss issues around children’s rights and protection. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dola moved her campaign online with videos and articles. Dola and National Child Forum are working with the local government to strengthen the local child protection system. For her work and dedication to society as a changemaker, she has been invited to many national and international conferences and meetings.
