The motivation of the Elie to become active in the field of children’s rights is in particular the painful experiences he has had and continues to have as a child in a context of war and community violence in central Africa. Eli refused to join his peers in the ranks of the very active armed groups in the region, choosing to devote himself entirely to his studies. And despite his parents’ difficulties in paying for his studies, he has just obtained his state diploma in electronic technology in 2022 in the city of Goma. His dream being to make the world a good place to live and better than he found it, Eli has since a young age set up small initiatives of community resilience in the face of the multiple challenges faced by his community.
