In Ester’s community, there are a lot of children who have been denied their basic rights, such as the right to education, since many are orphans and live with their old grandparents who often cannot provide them essential care, nor understand the importance of education. Among other things, she has visited a children’s home in company of teachers and distributed clothes and food. Ester has (positively) interacted with some of the orphans and she has often listened to the experiences/challenges they are facing. As a member of Young Christian Society (YCS) in the school, she has visited sick children in hospitals and distributed food.
