Graciane comes from a family of 8 children living in the small village of Nyangezi in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Since June 2018, Graciane integrated the educational movement for young people of Dynamique des Jeunes pour le Progrès et l’Avenir into her group ‘Children’s Planet’ and chairs it now. She created 11 children clubs in 3 primary schools and in 5 local churches in Nyangezi for the promotion of children rights. She has also organized 2 awareness campaigns in 2018 and 2019 on the non-exploitation of children in brick quarries in Nyangezi in all 44 villages of the Karhongo group for six months. She has been hosting the radio program ‘SAUTI YA WATOTO’ (Children’s Voices) promoting children’s rights at the community radio Kamole FM in Nyangezi every Sunday. In the future, she wants to create a school for the education of children in her community and a centre for supervision of vulnerable children and pursue a career in law.
