Helen first started being vocal about children’s rights when she was just 7 years old, when she raised money for children who lost their parents to HIV/AIDS. This is when she realized that many children in Ethiopia are suffering in different ways and she took a stand for their rights, especially for girls. Helen has supported 200 children so far, by providing financial support to organizations who work with children. Every year she provides stationery to children who do not have any means. Helen has spoken at different meetings on crucial issues such as female genital mutilation, which is very common in Ethiopia.
