Israt is a child living with her uncle in Bangladesh. Her area, Barguna, is very prone to natural disasters such as cyclones. Her introduction to activism was when she sang a song on education and she saw the impact she had over an audience member. This motivated her to use her voice to advocate for people and help others. Her work spans multiple topics, most notable education, health and sexual reproductive health. She formed a club with 108 other youths in the area, aiming to mobilize more young people. Additionally, she trained 30 young people in a Development Theater, where she sang to raise awarness. Concretely, she helped 6 children get back to school, ended 28 child marriages, sent 105 young people to health centers and fought to end drug addiction amongst youth.
