Jeanne was born and raised in a refugee camp, which has a patriarchal community system in which women and children’s rights are not respected. She realized that in order to get a strong community it’s much better to protect and respect children’s rights; from there she started to fight for children’s rights. Jeanne is a roots and shoots member and chairperson at her school, during the training sessions, she teaches 3480 fellow children about the rights and responsibilities of a child. Jeanne is passionate about story telling in order to manifest child’s right in her community, during national and international events. Furthermore, she helps orphans and children who were left after their fathers would be resettled or returned back to their home country.
