Karima is a dedicated advocate for girls’ rights, child protection, and climate justice, driven by her firsthand observations of child marriage and gender inequality in her community. She has spent the past four years raising awareness through writing, advocacy, and grassroots initiatives, determined to prevent young girls from facing the physical, mental, and social consequences of early marriage. As the acting president of Youth and Child Security Bangladesh, Central Director of Anti Child Marriage Organization, and founder of Monprova, Keka amplifies the voices of children and young people, ensuring they are heard in their schools, communities, and policy spaces.
Through workshops, community outreach, and mentoring peers, Keka has directly impacted thousands, educating families and teens about the risks of child marriage, gender equality, and mental health. Her writings, shared across platforms including UNICEF, BRAC, and Bangladesh Generation Parliament, reach millions online, inspiring dialogue and action. Over the last four years, she has successfully prevented 15 child marriages and empowered tens of thousands of young people to advocate for their rights. Karima’s work unites advocacy, education, and grassroots action to create safer, more equitable communities for children in Bangladesh.
