Kelly is committed to fight against female genital mutilation and better education for girls. He strongly believes that if girls were better educated, the whole community would be healthier and less poor. Kelly makes reusable sanitary pads (from old bed sheets that he disinfects) and hands them out to girls. In his eyes, it is also a boy’s duty to take care of his sisters. As a result, less girls are absent in school due to sanitary problems. Also, there are less early pregnancies. In addition, Kelly talks to his community about the importance of educating girls and stopping early marriages.
