Saifullahi Khalid is actively fighting for children’s rights. He is the chief executive officer of an NGO, young ambassadors against drug abuse initiative (YAADAI). He organizes outreaches, media engagement, sports, trainings and skills acquisition and other collaborating efforts to disengage the young ones from drugs and social vices. More than 1,000 children have been reformed through his outreach and campaign, and over 5,000 children have been sent back to school. Saifullahi Khalid has also been nominated as a speaker at the street children’s parliament by the ECOWAS PARLIAMENT in Nigeria to give louder voices to their plight. He also featured on “street children” on the network service of Radio Nigeria, a concept he created. This radio program he sometimes anchors reaches over 150 million Nigerians. At the minute, he intends to organize town hall meetings to promote children’s rights, to meet religious and opinion leaders to discuss ways to encourage children’s right to life survival and development, to launch rural campaigns to checkmate child labour, trafficking, child marriage and education for every child.
