Day by day, Laetitia learns about the challenges of child welfare. Up to date, Laetitia has initiated several talks and debates in her school, her neighborhood, and her church on the situation of disadvantaged children. She also initiated fundraising campaigns to enroll disadvantaged children in school, to help children who do not have access to appropriate care and those who have no shelter. As a result, it is estimated that more than 100 underprivileged children have been enrolled in the school through the funds she has raised, and more than 75 children living on the street were placed in social rehabilitation centers whilst others were adopted by wealthy families. Laetitia has also organized awareness-raising and training activities with opinion leaders for the abandonment of FGM and to popularize the laws prohibiting child marriage in Chad. She also organized information sessions to address the lack of information on sexual and reproductive health among adolescent girls. In the same vein, she organized educational talks with a gynecologist to adolescent girls to about reproductive health and menstrual hygiene. Sanitary towels were distributed during the event. In total, more than 7,000 adolescent girls are informed about sexual and reproductive health, STIs and menstrual hygiene.
