All 2025 Children’s Peace Prize Nominees

Licypriya Devi, a 13-year-old climate activist from India, has become one of the world’s youngest and most influential voices for climate justice. From holding a solo protest at the Indian Parliament at just 9 years old to founding the “Save the Earth” and “Child Movement” campaigns, she has mobilized thousands of young people to demand urgent environmental action. Her work focuses on ensuring that climate change is recognized as a children’s rights issue, calling on governments to protect the next generation through stronger laws, sustainable policies, and climate education. She has represented youth on international platforms, including the United Nations, where she has spoken directly to world leaders and policymakers about the urgent need for action.

Her impact is both global and far-reaching. Online, Licypriya has built a powerful digital presence, with over 700,000 combined followers and millions of views across her social media platforms, where she shares campaign videos, speeches, and updates that inspire children worldwide to take action. Offline, she has organized workshops, petitions, and rallies that have pressured leaders to adopt stronger climate policies and encouraged thousands of children to adopt sustainable practices in their communities. By linking environmental advocacy to the fundamental rights of children, Licypriya is not only amplifying youth voices but also shaping policy discussions in India and beyond, proving that even the youngest changemakers can lead a global movement.
