Lisbeth Karina García Perez, a 15-year-old from Colombia, has shown exceptional resilience and dedication in the face of adversity and violence. Despite growing up in an area afflicted by armed conflict, Lisbeth has actively contributed to child protection and peace-building efforts. As the president of the Participation Board, she has led 40 child-driven initiatives and engaged over 150 children in virtual platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her work has earned recognition from Save the Children and the Foundation for Equality and Human Development for her commitment to children’s rights, safe school environments, and gender equality.
