Luisell grew up questioning the cycle of teenage pregnancy that limited the lives of the women in her family. When her 16-year-old cousin impregnated a classmate, the issue became deeply personal and motivated her to take action. Having experienced the absence of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in her own school, she dedicated herself to breaking this cycle for others—fighting for children’s right to accurate information, protection, and a future free from abuse. With support from her parents and mentors at EnseñaPerú, Luisell has become a powerful youth leader, founding NGOs, mentoring students, and designing initiatives that blend advocacy, education, and policy change.

Her work ranges from grassroots empowerment—mentoring children, leading workshops, and donating books—to influencing regional and global policy. She has reached thousands of youth across Latin America, empowered survivors of child sexual violence in Indigenous communities, mobilized 2M+ people through online campaigns, and contributed to the Global Youth-Led Manifesto to End Violence Against Children, shaping protections in over 130 countries. By combining advocacy with tangible support, Luisell is building a movement to end gender-based violence and ensure CSE becomes a universal right.
