Despite growing up in a place where girls are often not allowed to go to school, Mariam’s family let her study. Before going to school, she goes to the Islamic education centre to teach children that do not have the opportunity to go to school (due to war, insecurity, poverty or unfavorable culture). She teaches various languages, mathematic, the quran etc. Mariam also has lectured in various programmes at the Afghan Turk School.
