During the COVID-19 lockdown, Milca encountered a peer who had to abandon her education due to financial constraints, a challenge Milca herself once faced. This encounter rekindled her determination to combat educational inequities through her initiative, Amoxtlic. She developed a network of mobile applications, programming them herself to provide quality, accessible education on topics like basic education, STEAM, and English without the need for internet access. Amoxtlic, which is in the process of becoming a national educational tool with certification capabilities, has already impacted over 3,000 people and continues to expand its reach through collaborations with organizations and social media platforms. Milca’s vision extends beyond her current achievements; she aspires to dedicate her future to science and establish a nanotechnology research center in Mexico.
