Mohammad is a young Afghan boy who has been advocating for peace in his home country. Afghanistan has been in political turmoil since before he was born. This unrest led to a lot of violence, in which the rights of children are being supressed and ignored. Witnessing this motivated Mohammad to fight for the rights of women and children. He combined his energetic personality with his activism and participated in a peace walk from over 1350 km by foot to advocate for peace. The walk for peace took him through deserts, villages and provinces towards the capital. Meanwhile he was threatened by multiple anti-peace groups. He ended his walk by standing in front of embassies in Kabul, trying to bring peace to his country. As a result of this walk, the Taliban announced they would allow a three day seize fire, which had not happened in the last 12 years. The Taliban even stated they were open for discussions about the peace in Afghanistan.
