Muhammad Aasim is for 90% physically disabled, he can only get around with a wheelchair. Muhammad Aasim‘s aim is to provide equal opportunities for all children to grow and succeed in this competitive world, no child should lack education due to disabilities. Through the platform of the NGO ASIM VELIMANNA FOUNDATION, Muhammad Aasim supports higher education and empowers the underprivileged. Muhammad Aasim managed to get his school upgraded from lower primary school, to upper primary school. He is struggling for the upgrade of the upper primary school to High school, for which he collected signatures and drew attention of the state government by covering more than 450 km in wheelchair. Aasim won the UNICEF Child Achievers Award in 2014, and was appointed the Child Brand Ambassador for the All Kerala Charity Service Association.
