Munazia, 17, from Bangladesh, is courageously advocating for children’s safety, particularly girls vulnerable to sexual harassment and abuse. Drawing from her own experiences, she founded Survivor’s Path, a movement that organizes awareness programs, teaches self-defense, and ensures survivors access legal and mental health support. She has placed complaint boxes in schools, extended her outreach to remote villages, and mobilized communities to engage parents, teachers, and local leaders in creating safe spaces for children.
Through her digital presence on Facebook and Instagram, Munazia reaches thousands online, amplifying her advocacy and recruiting volunteers. Offline, she has impacted over 10,000 students through workshops addressing child marriage, abuse prevention, and emotional well-being, helping girls recognize unsafe situations and empowering peers to support one another. With the backing of organizations like CWCS and the support of her mother and close allies, Munazia’s work transforms personal pain into collective empowerment, fostering a safer, more protective environment for children across Bangladesh.
