Natalie has spearheaded peace efforts through writing poems, articles and producing documentaries. Her first initiative dubbed “Amani Mtaani” (Swahili for peace in the neighbourhood) started in 2017 during Kenya’s general election. She wrote lots of peace poetry and distributed them to her schoolmates so that they would spread the message to the wider community. In 2020, during the International Day of the Girl, UN women partnered with Natalie to highlight the plight of the girl child across Africa. She later partnered with them to support teenage girls in public schools within Nairobi access sanitary towels, an initiative that helps keep girls in school. Natalie’s work has made significant improvements in the lives of children. By the age of ten, she had published 3 books.
