Niurka is a STEM student who fights for various causes in her country. She carries out activities with the aim of working towards world peace, reduction in pollution at the national level, eradicating violence and gender barriers in Peru. She seeks equality between men and women, in order to break down the gender gaps that exist in her country by encouraging women to aspire to become any professional as they like. She also teaches children from distant and hilly regions. Through her project ‘gea ocllo’- a robot dog , she reduces contamination by converting organic waste into compost and fertilizers, inorganic waste into energy and filtering contaminated water into drinking water.
