Parvez prepared a list of children in his community that weren’t enrolled at school. In June 2020, he installed community piggy banks to save and collect money in order to fund books and stationery for these kids. Parvez is the leader of Merudandi child club. He leads his group of 15 members to create awareness and to sensitize their community about COVID-19, physical distancing, the importance of wearing masks and hygiene. Moreover, with the help of facilitators, he organized a rally in his community to prevent child labour. He approached shopkeepers to raise awareness amongst them, for them to not employ children in their shops. In addition, to prevent child marriage in the community, Parvez and his club members created a mass campaign during the lockdown.
