Rakshit comes from a family of socially committed individuals. He is deeply motivated by his concern for underprivileged children. In 2020, Rakshit founded ‘TechSahayata’ with the aim to bridge the digital divide in India. ‘TechSahayata’ has produced many initiatives. Rakshit led “Project Rays”, a 3-month initiative in which he taught 18 underprivileged HIV-positive children the basics of programming. In collaboration with the State Council for Education and Research and more than 150 school teachers, ‘TechSahayata’ has produced content which will be taught to over 20.000 children. Rakshit has also partnered with another organisation to empower over 100 female students by teaching them programming. In the future, he intends to broaden his organisation’s reach and influence by interacting with as many marginalised students as possible.
