As part of the Child Rights in Action Program organized by Caritas India, Ruth and her friends conducted a mass awareness campaign to promote gender equality in her and neighboring villages. A skit-awareness on girls was prepared and presented under her initiative in order to educate people about the values of girls. Ruth is one of the most active leaders of the children’s club under Bal Suraksha Abhiyan Trust. If an issue related to children occurs in the village, she is the first person to contact the authorities and NGOs for further intervention. As the president of Pudung Children’s Club, Ruth reached out to the needy children and families during lockdown and her and other members collected food grains to support families.
