Saad, also known as Tenge Tenge Rango, 12, from Kazinga, Uganda, turned the hardships of extreme poverty into a platform for change. After the COVID-19 pandemic worsened his family’s financial struggles, Saad found hope and purpose through dance and acrobatics, receiving mentorship and a life-changing scholarship from the Wembley Mo Foundation. His talent and dedication allowed him to become a global sensation on TikTok, where he spreads positive messages and advocates for children’s rights, peace, and social justice.
Using the resources gained from his online success, Saad has transformed his community and family life. He has built a house for his parents, funded the education of his seven siblings, and constructed a well that provides clean water to approximately 1,000 people. Through his creativity, advocacy, and tangible community contributions, Saad inspires children to overcome adversity, demonstrates the power of non-traditional pathways to change, and ensures that basic rights like education and access to clean water become a reality for marginalized communities.
