As passionate environmentalists and members of various environmental groups, Sainath and Sai Sahana actively campaign against single-use plastics and promote recycling through their PEPC Campaign (Papers, E-wastes, Plastics, and Cans). Their efforts extend to developing technological solutions like the Marine Robot Cleaner and Agribot, which support UN SDGs related to Life Below Water and Zero Hunger.

Their projects have garnered significant media attention and resulted in the collection and recycling of approximately 25,000 kgs of waste monthly. Recognized with 67 appreciation and achievement certificates, they also serve as guest speakers at numerous environmental conferences and panels.
