Growing up, Shaera witnessed the struggles that children faced because of poverty. From the age of 11, she decided to work for the children of Bangladesh. Shaera worked with the Moshal Foundation where she raised funds to provide meals for 30 children and mental health checks for 10 orphans. Her work for other organisations has culminated in her providing food for nearly 3.000 children. In collaboration with the Grow Your Own Reader Foundation, Shaera started working as a Next Fighter. Together with the foundation, she set up her own Book Garage in her community and has consequently given over 100 books to poor children in her area. Shaera continues to engage children in her community with children’s rights issues through debate tournaments.
